Perbanas Institute’s Accounting program has a vision to develop students’ intellectuals, especially in the accounting field, with global standards. After completing their education, the alumni are directed to work as public accountants (auditors), internal auditors, management accountants, tax expert accountants, information systems expert accountants, conventional bank accountants or sharia bank accountants. These goals can be accomplished with a curriculum that gives students the freedom to choose the courses’ concentration they want to follow. Concentration options for undergraduate accounting students includes:

  • Conventional Banking Accounting, and
  • Islamic Banking Accounting

By adding Entrepreneurship courses, it will complement the other skills of students, which will be an added value in carrying out the various professions above.

The policy of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum which was launched by the government through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, gives a different feel to students, where students’ insight and intellectuality will be developed more. By following the MBKM curriculum, students will gain new knowledges and experiences because they can carry out activities outside the campus, whether it be participating in student exchanges with other campuses at home and abroad, joining certified internships in several companies, conducting independent studies, teaching students and others.

The Bachelor of Accounting program has a curriculum that is in accordance with the needs of the profession, so that Perbanas’ Bachelor of Accounting graduates are ready to enter work environment. Students who excel both academically and non-academically will be given scholarships as an appreciation from Perbanas Institute. Perbanas Institute Campus also provides educational facilities and infrastructure such as the Accounting Laboratory and Mini Bank Laboratory, the Dealing Room Laboratory and other infrastructure for non-academic activities.

 

High public interest to study at Perbanas Institute’s Bachelor of Accounting program can be seen from the current number of students, which are recorded at 2086 students. These undergraduate accounting student comes from various regions in Indonesia. The teaching and learning process at the Perbanas Institute’s Bachelor of Accounting program is supported by competent and academically experienced lecturers, and accounting practitioners. The strategic location of the campus, located in the golden triangle area of the business and office centre is also appealing for the community, especially prospective students. And since 2017, Perbanas Institute has also opened a campus in Bekasi, making it more practical for people outside Jakarta.

 

The Perbanas Institute’s Bachelor of Accounting program, which is under the auspices of the National Bank Association (PERBANAS), improves the quality of its graduates by conducting various collaborations with various large, medium and small-scale banks, several universities, and professional accounting organizations. Perbanas Institute’s Bachelor of Accounting Program also obtained accreditation from professional organizations from within and outside the country.

1. National Accreditation Rating with a superior value (grade A)

Given by the government through the National Accreditation Board for higher education, and this is the government’s acknowledgment of the Perbanas Institute Accounting Undergraduate Study Program at the highest national score in Indonesia.

2. CPA Australia (Certified Practising Accountant Australia)

The Perbanas Institute’s Bachelor of Accounting has obtained CPA Australia accreditation since 2014. With the accreditation from CPA Australia, many benefits have been felt by Perbanas Institute’s Bachelor of Accounting students, namely by becoming CPA Australia student ambassadors, CPA Australia sharing sessions with Perbanas Institute’s Bachelor of Accounting students about latest topics, the collaboration between the Accounting Student Association and CPA Australia in various competitions in terms of sharing questions and judging competitions. No less important than this accreditation, Perbanas Institute’s Bachelor of Accounting graduates are exempt from Foundation Level and can immediately take the Professional Level to obtain the Australian CPA degree.

3. Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia (IAI)

Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia (IAI) or Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants, is a professional organization that oversees all Accountants in Indonesia. Perbanas Institute’s Bachelor of Accounting program is one of the IAI Affiliated Campus. As a study program affiliated with IAI, updates on accounting developments can be obtained more quickly with direct information from IAI. For curriculum development, the Study Program consults with various parties, including IAI, so that Perbanas Institute S1 graduates are in accordance with the needs of the job market. In addition, the study program curriculum was developed in accordance with IES (Internatioanl Education Standards) from IFAC (International Federation of Accountant); thus, Perbanas study program’s gradutes have the same core competencies as other overseas alumni. Perbanas Institute’s Bachelor of Accounting students also have the opportunity to become young members of IAI. By taking one of the certification exams at IAI, Perbanas Institute Accounting S1 students have met the competencies for graduates of the Accounting S-1 Program.
