Australian Scholarships are open

The Applications for the Australian Scholarships are now open.

Australian Scholarships aim to promote sustainable development and excellence in education and Offer educational and professional development awards to citizens of the Asia-Pacific region. These opportunities support growth in our region and build enduring links at the individual, institutional and country levels. Awards are available to high achievers from participating countries, including Indonesia. A variety of educational, research and professional development opportunities are available through three programs:

    • Endeavour Awards
      this program offers a wide range of scholarships to undertake a short term and long term study in Australia. To be eligible to apply for this program you will need to demonstrate a high level of English proficiency and arrange your own placement at host institution in Australia. Applications for this program open from 6 April to 31 July 2009 and can be made online.
    • Australian Leaderships Award (ALA)
      The Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) program aims to develop leadership, build partnerships and linkages within the Asia-Pacific, and address priority regional issues. The ALA program is comprised of Scholarships and Fellowships. Awardees are selected from the public, private and community sectors within countries where Australia has a significant aid program. Applications for this program open from March to 30 June 2009.
    • Australian Development Scholarships (ADS)
      Australian Development Scholarships equip with the skills and knowledge to drive change and influence the development outcomes of their own country through obtaining tertiary qualifications (Master and PhD) at an Australian University. The application period will be from 15 June to 4 September 2009.
